Six-month presence rule

The presence route to Turkish residency: stay continuously more than six months within a single calendar year and you’re treated as settled, with temporary absences not interrupting the count. Because the test lives inside the calendar year, a late-year arrival can’t complete it until the following year — a timing lever with real money attached under Law 7582. Article 5 lists the exceptions (temporary assignments, education, treatment, and stays caused by circumstances beyond one’s control).
