An MT103 is the single-customer credit transfer message a bank sends over SWIFT when you wire money abroad: sender, beneficiary, amount, value date, charge allocation (OUR/SHA/BEN), and the routing chain. Banks can provide you a copy on request — and should, when a payment goes missing. Reading one tells you which intermediary is sitting on your money, which is more than most support lines will.
