Digital nomad visas solve immigration, not taxation — a distinction that costs people real money. Spain’s DNV (teletrabajador de carácter internacional) legalizes living in Spain while working for foreign clients or employers, but the tax treatment is decided separately by residency tests and regime elections with their own deadlines. The same separation holds in Türkiye: Law 7582 keys off tax residency, and no permit category is (yet) part of its text.
